A Hull Man is celebrating his second jackpot win with the Dove House weekly draw, with the family having
won over £5,000 in the last seven years. Norris Hudson of won the £1,000 weekly jackpot on Friday 4th March having also won a £2,000 prize in 1999 with the same game number. His wife Margaret also won £2,000 with her game number in 2001.
Norris who lives in West Hull will also celebrate his 80 th birthday later this year and said he will use his winnings to make the garden nice for the summer so his wife can enjoy it. Mr and Mrs Hudson both joined the Dove House Hospice lottery when it started in 1996 and were in the first ever draw on 31 st May that year. They joined because they wanted to make a regular donation to a worthwhile local charity and help families in their local area. As the lottery celebrates its 20 th birthday in May it seems only fitting that a founder member should be a lucky winner again.
As Founder Members of the lottery, Mr and Mrs Norris are invited to the 20 th birthday celebration event on 31st May at the hospice to receive their Founder Member badges as a mark of thanks for the support they have given Dove House over the last 20 years.
At this event the one-off 20 th birthday draw will also be made, which aims to raise an additional £20,000 to fund hospice services. Tickets for the Birthday draw, with 20 fantastic prizes and experiences donated by local companies are available at all Dove House shops for £1 each.
To join the weekly lottery for only £1 a week with a chance to win up to £10,000 call (01482) 785785 or visit.
