About The Hinge Centre
The Hinge Centre opens doors of opportunity, supporting those most in need in our community. We provide one to one Resettlement and Benefit and welfare support as well as a number of community and children’s activities and groups aimed at reducing social isolation, building confidence and developing new skills.
“The saints at The Hinge were totally amazing, and helped me so much in getting through an awful time, the staff are all so friendly and they don’t judge – if it wasn’t for them we’d be out on the street begging for help.” - service user
what we do
The Hinge Centre is a small, locally focused Charity, based in the Bridlington area.
We are committed to providing services and support to our local community, in a professional and non-judgemental manner. The Centre operates on an open-door policy, to all within the local area.
Our aim is to provide support, guidance, services and opportunities to those facing social and financial deprivation.
We offer support regarding homelessness for all ages. The Centre aims to provide information regarding your rights & entitlements, help with dealing with eviction notices, bond schemes and finding local properties.
Affordability is the key to sustainability, we offer assistance with financial budgeting, as well as being able to support with housing welfare applications.
THE DIFFERENCE you could make
We are a not-for-profit charity and rely heavily on the generosity of people and their donations to help as many organisations as possible. We have minimal financial support and every £1 could help make a difference to those who need our services.
£26 could provide adults with learning disabilities the opportunity to develop life skills
£52 could provide regular support for those with nowhere else to turn
